Steve Wells - Certified ODACC adjudicator for Ontario

Trained and worked within the construction industry for 39 years.  Initially worked as a specialist M&E quantity surveyor and then as a claims/commercial manager.  

In 1987 founded the UK based and highly successful specialist quantity surveying practice Quants and now co-owns the practice. 

In 2008 relocated to Canada to follow a more international and dispute resolution focused career direction.  Worked in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.  Now based in Toronto, Canada, established Quants Inc. in Canada in 2013 and heads up the Americas operations.

Having witnessed and helped resolve numerous disputes during the extensive experience, recognised that prolonged disagreements cost both parties, not least of which is the expenditure involved pursuing such issues through the established legal systems.

Now advances the principle of resolving disputes by less confrontational means, including adjudication and mediation.  Is a member of ADRIO (Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario), the CIQS (Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors), the RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, and the AACEI.
